ok, so i guess the stuff i saw didn't actually pertain to autohotkey.. just stuff that could write files that AHK could read. so its a two step process, which sucks.. i dunno how id wrap that up as a gift. i'd like see if i could do the whole thing in C. which i never use. so the future is grim for me doing anything with it soon. and i dont have a car and im in a blah mood. i going to take a nap.
fatribz10/11/2009 8:05:30 am
OK, car is good. I will look into this more today.

hi,
appreciated. take your time. :)
im currently looking for a 3-5 channel controller. all that is out there has a minimum of 8 channels or some shabby knobs..
fatribz10/12/2009 5:30:49 am
Would it be USB? I have an m-audio axiom49 which is USB. So I am looking into USB programming.
idwtwwr10/12/2009 6:04:42 am
yup usb is perfect.
fatribz10/12/2009 10:48:45 am
since usb devices are all so different, there would have to be some sorta teaching of the computer as what you want. probably by moving the slider to max and min spots for each color channel. Sorta like calibrating joysticks for Wolfenstein 3D or teaching your mother how to play mario.
fatribz10/12/2009 10:52:01 am
much much easier would be a script to click buttons on your keyboard to move the sliders, with automatic roll over for the
coarse:1 fine:9 -> coarse:2 fine:0,
since those are two buttons.

or maybe hold a key and move your mouse up and down.
one key for each channel, with maybe shift as a fine tuner so you have to push it like crazy to increment a lot.

this isn't nearly as "cool" but soooooo much simpler

ribz, I might have some informations for you. drop me a line.
idwtwwr10/13/2009 9:30:06 am
hm, keyboard wouldnt be much of a benefit. changing keys for each channel might be as tedious as just clicking them. great for grayscales though, a=10 steps up, s= 10 steps down, f= 1 step up, g= 1 step down on each channel.
but maybe that's just me, still be nice to draw some smooth fades without constantly switching to the rgb controllers.

hmmm..clueless, i assume this little program doesn't help much translating the keys to your midi controller?

dont waste too much time on this when you could be writing on 'da game of yours. :D i wanna play that SOMEtime
