That there is the Original Rapala. This thing will catch any thing, musky, pike, bass, and even right ear lobes.

I love treble hooks.

The only problem I have with treble hooks are when you try to free up a fish that is thrashing around, got my hand hooked on the free hook.

My father once casted a rapala and the wind caught it.. well, a seagull swooped down on it and grapped the rapala. It was quite interesting fighting a... ummmm.. seagull. I still cant beleive that happened.

Treble hook trick #1- With plyers, bend one barb of each hook so that it touches the hook shank or forms a loop. This way the hook still ballances the lure but only two barbs are exposed. Just don't bend the barb that sticks down if you lay the treble against the belly of the rapala or you'll miss more hookups. This trick works well on blade spinners (mepps, roostertails)also.

wow Sheep, your choc-full-of-fishing-knowledge. Lets drop a line together someday.

Sure Al, that would be great! I have fished since the age of 5 and haven't stopped yet. My favorite is both smallmouth and largemouth bass, although the mulberries will be dropping soon so carp will be on the agenda. FISH ON! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....that's the sound of my drag screaming while bubba bass takes a run....SNAP!....$#!7....sucker snapped my line.
