Wedging the crowbar into the door jam you hear the door cracking. You apply more force and then it slips. Looks like the door is made of heavy steel and you ripped off a piece of the veneer. That little stunt just cost you another minute of torch light. You need to find another way out or bang on the door with the crowbar to see if someone can hear you outside. It's your choice.

i say go back and put another shirt on the stick. soak the new shirt first maybe. then go and bang on the door to see if anyone can hear

also, what's on the opposite side of the room. (if you are facing south when looking at the door, the wall that would be to east)

OOOH, OOOH, maybe there is a key in the desk drawer. am i thinking to much on this? i will shut up now and just let you draw. tee hee
