soldiers are weapons, world leaders are murderers
AL12/27/2004 10:43:26 am
Wrong, politicians are.
AL12/27/2004 10:44:43 am
Right on Chris!
Tolstoi12/27/2004 11:50:53 am
Weapons are instruments, soldiers are human who have the choice
Chris Bradshaw12/27/2004 3:32:11 pm
its not much of a choice for those who join, when the neighbor hoods they come from are targeted w/ propaganda, there aren't many jobs available, and those that are available; they can only get by going to college, and they get their tuition money through the army.

True, the kind of people that join the military are the ones who are too naive to relize that wars are for private interests. All they see is the economic benefit, which since they are probably lower or lower-middle class, seems like alot, but getting your ass blown up for stratigic oil reserves sounds pretty shitty to me.
Anubix12/28/2004 3:07:01 am
Not to mention having to kill people.
Tolstoi12/28/2004 8:18:51 am
so poverty is the excuse and/or legitimation to kill other people in a name of someone?
Anubix12/28/2004 12:19:07 pm
There can be no excuse, but there is always a cause.
AL12/28/2004 2:40:01 pm
Just be glad we have men and women in the military that fight these awful wars.. or some of us might be out there in Iraq right now getting our asses shot off because we were drafted.

If I had the choice between becoming soldier and attempting suicide the next train would be mine. And no, I'm not talking about travelling to Iraq by train ;)
