i be back, they fixed my connection! not having internet is sort of a good thing, but only for a very short time. jesus, a week seemed like a lot longer
yanbu 1/5/2006 - 7:21:25 pm
i was just thinking, i've been online since around 85 or so when my parents got a c-64 and a 300 baud modem. sort of . . it was BBS's then, not really online. i remember downloading gauntlet - and it took like three days or something on a BBS. then amiga 500, a dropout from all computer use for a few years, pc in 95 and got the web as we know it. damn - a long time now
mic 1/5/2006 - 7:36:47 pm
so thats 20 years. thats the greater part of your life. seems rough to me, if i think about that this way. i read an article once about how robots are going to be the end of human civilization - not that they would attack us, but that we've become so hooked on them and we will be dependent even more. i've been at my friends cottage in the mountains for the new year. that house's there like 100 years. the only connection was some old radio. and drinking wine and smoking grass and throwing wood into the fireplace. but that's more like a connection to the universe. haha.
yanbu 1/5/2006 - 7:44:59 pm
ha! no i didn't mean to paint a picture of me sitting in front of a computer for 20 years straight or anything. it's just been that amount of time that i've had access to online stuff. i also ate some food, i went outside a couple times . . .
yanbu 1/5/2006 - 8:12:10 pm
three times total
mic 1/6/2006 - 3:41:48 am
last time of the three was when your connection was broken recently... hehe
just kidding, it was more like we've never seen each other yet i "see" you more often than my neighbors.

Phil Collins 1977 Earls Court, London, England. He was performing this #1 pop hit called 'Suppers Ready' and when he sang the lyrics "to take them to the new jerusalem" he got sucked into a spaceship by a laserbeam was found near Devils Tower State Park. Celine Dion and Micheal Bolton were driving by and gave Phil a ride. The rest is history.

I like Phil Collins when he was with the Revels. Make NO mistake. But He should've never, you know . . . And I don't like you guys saying "I like Phil Collins" just to seem amicable on screen. You saw the picture. I mean, who could like the REAL Phil Collins.
eno 1/5/2006 - 1:29:01 pm
My dads friend pissed phil collins off to the point of him stopping the music and coming down from the stage and threatening to kick his ass during the first genesis tour.
Al 1/5/2006 - 3:01:43 pm
The Revels were an ok period for Phil, but nothing beat the 1977 duet with Barbara Streisand doing Evergreen (Theme from A Star is Born).

I like Phil Collins. He used to be the drummer for a kick ass Techno band named Revelations. They had a singer named Robert Plant and he quit the band in 1975 and Phil Collins said, "hey mates, how bout some shrimp on the barbe?" and that was history!
