i have a python bot that can learn to talk, but it also runs python code for you.. i just need to add some verification so that it isn't vulnerable to hacksszz.. like a client that uses some super code to send a bit of jumbled crap at the end of your request to verify that you are running the super secret program or something

Hey Yanbu, wouldn't it be convenient if there was a grid option on the applet? If the option is 'on' a grid overlays the applet. I think it would be convenient for the sliding and filtering thing, to copy parts of a drawing and being able to drop it exact on the right spot.

I think this can be done with a css thingy

it's quite easy to create a grid in form of a checker board using the slidehack.
though you need a piece of paper for pixel perfect sliding.

start with basic element ▄▀ and slidehack it to ▄▀▄▀
you need the piece of paper for marking the endpoint of â–„â–€. so you know how much you need to slide it to the right.

i really want to add a scripting window to oekaki so you can tell it to do repetitive commands like:

for i in range(10,29,10):
line(i,0,i,300)

would make cover the drawing area with vertical lines the spaced ten pixels apart

maybe a ruler line around the drawin area could also do the trick

ribz! i did get your email, will reply more in full there. yes let's talk! i have been brewing some things now that i'm back to having some free time. i've had a huge project plan folder i put together a while ago that's been lurking in the shadows, this fall should bring some overdue updates. primarily gallery functions, drawing app compatibility updates, and i think most importantly dedicated links to galleries of collections of drawings, series draws, theme boards and draws that continue a thread, the great things that have happened here and continue to happen. i will need lots of help collecting and curating etc

the problem i see with using javascript to make a draw program is the anti-aliasing, or the smoothing of lines. you don't get that pixel perfect action that oekaki has.. at least not all browsers honor your request to turn off the AA

cool, what did you add to it? the journal was started by naranjon, a real blank book that was sent to any 10eastern artists who signed up for it. it was mailed all over the world and never got lost! naranjon has it still, as far as i know. i have the scans somewhere, but may have to ask him again for them!
